Two girls facing the world together.

Meeko and I came together almost three years ago in 2019. She had been abandoned with her brother Finn at a gas station in Missouri. Their behavior and condition suggested previous abuse. It was Valentines Day during a horrible ice storm. We couldn’t resist going to find them to make sure they were warm. She hopped right in the backseat of the car and has been ours ever since.
Meeko is a 4 year old Blue Heeler mix. She is extremely attached to her brother Finn and loves being around all people. She is so intelligent that we are able to keep her off leash the majority of the time. She loves to run and explore and hop in the air to catch bugs. Her number one goal in life is to get hugs and kisses and to end up sleeping on your lap. You can always find her sitting at our feet or sleeping in our bed.
Meeko is extremely friendly. She will come right up to a new person and sit in front of them, waiting for pets. She wears her emotions on her face, always letting you know when she’s happy or upset with you. She’s known to “plop” down right on top of you and stare into your eyes until she gets your attention. She even stands up and gives hugs. I have never met a more affectionate and gentle animal.

I am 26 years old and have been wanting to travel the world my whole life. I went to college and to graduate school and have dedicated most of my life to education and advocating for children and women. I have traveled to Africa and Cambodia and have a love for seeing new places and trying new things. All that I am is a product of this wonderful life I’ve been given.
I like to watch Adventure Time, listen to music with my husband, and walk around all the towns we visit with our dogs. Love, creative expression, and deep conversation are all important to me. I always have the most fun when I’m alone with my husband, with my girlfriends, or spending time with my family at home. I’m really happy and excited about life, but I wasn’t always. Which gives me hope for all people out there.
I consider myself a wife, a learner, a listener, a go getter, a sister, a daughter, a helper, and so many other things within myself I can’t name them all. I aspire to be a strong and faithful woman like my mother and grandmother. I want to be known for kindness and acceptance. I have goals to write children’s books and see the world. I’m constantly figuring out who I am just to change again. And it’s really fun.

Jazz??!!! So unusual for a young person to really enjoy jazz! What is your favorite type….smooth, slow…regular or “I like it all”? I typically like smooth jazz myself as it seems more relaxing to me. You OBVIOUSLY have never met Daisy aka: BUGERBUTT LOL…..she is the same as Meeko only in a more compact package…1/2 weenie and 1/2 min pin…ALL SPOILED! Go through a Dairy Queen sometime and get those fur babies a pup cup….it’s typically free and they will love it. Give them big hugs from me…..would like to meet them next time your home!
